In 2011 We were asked to exhibit a series at the Greater Lafayette Museum of Art, in Indiana. It took us about 2 seconds to decide, as we have such fond memories of our time spent in the MidWest. Some of our favorite times were passing through the Plains states, with the road nearly enveloped by corn or sunflower fields. The days where we started driving before sun-up brought a glow to the fields, and there was always a lone farmhouse in the distance. We’d get lost in our imagination of what a life lived in the middle of these fields must feel like.
